How does ayahuasca change human life?

ayahuasca changes human life

After reviewing on the net the descriptions of acquaintance with ayahuasca, I found out the lack of reviews on the second, no less important component of experience – how ayahuasca affects everyday life.

My today’s story is not about amazing travels and discoveries of a universal scale, but about small changes in everyday life, the long-term consequences, and the impact of ayahuasca on everyday life. Those changes took place in my life and life of my friends.

Who am I? What is the sense of life? Where do i go? What should I do with my life?

These questions I asked ayahuasca for the first time we met.

My life was interesting, diverse, and I could say, even happy. But sometimes I felt the meaninglessness of life. I filled time with entertainments, deeds, worries, but somewhere in the background looming the feeling of emptiness. If you remove all the events in which I dive headlong, there will only be boredom. You can escape from it. You can successfully run your whole life and hide a sense of meaninglessness somewhere in the far corner of the subconscious, covering them with bright toys. But the inner need to find something else – destination, meaning, purpose – resulted in a trip to the jungle of Peru. My aim was to meet ayahuasca – a plant, which is stimulated my curiosity. Despite the critical attitude towards shamanism, religions, and other pseudoscientific crap, I had a faint hope – what if the ayahuasca really helps to understand myself and my life.

The changes that took place several years after the first meeting with ayahuasca are not cardinal, but very deep. The first of them is independence. Plants helped find the inner core. That inner component of life, which gives strength in order to act, to change something in me and my world, not just exist, but actively build my life.

Love for the world, for the Earth. Awareness of the silent inextricable connection with a huge living planet, which gives me inner fulfillment and the desire to know this world, to go beyond the limits of one’s perception, learn to live not only for my own good and for the limited circle of my selfish desires, but for something huge unscalable, something beyond understanding and description.

Feelings. Ayahuasca helps a person become more open to the world. On the one hand, a person begins to notice more what is happening around him, becomes more observant, attentive. On the other hand, while the ayahuasca diet; a person gradually begins to perceive the energy component of the world. All together allows a person in his casual life to feel the tings which was previously covered – the thoughts and moods of others, the timeliness of actions, to catch the “turning” points of life, when you need to quickly make a decision and make the desired turn.

Redistribution of energy. During the retreat, ayahuasca shares its energy with a person. Thanks to that a person gets the opportunity to reconfigure the body and mind, get rid of unnecessary things, to become more self-confident, simple and strong.

Health, and a clear, more efficient mind as a consequence of the redistribution of energy. In the ayahuasca retreat, real physical changes take place, and when a person returns to society, he has a choice – continue to live and act as before, or choose a new way to act, using the energy that flows freely through the cleaned and “restored”  channels. Everyone makes this choice many times, and either returns to his previous state, or gradually changes his lifestyle and relationship with the world towards greater harmony and effectiveness.

The place I went to ayahuasca retreat for several years is now open for those who really want to get to know ayahuasca, to touch the power of the Amazonian jungle, to find himself, for those who interested in shamanism and dreams.

At Home of Ayahuasca, we take a unique, non-tourist approach to working with the plant directly. This is how shamans and healers have been trained since ancient times.

The work was amazing. Ayahuasca helped pull out the most stuck traumas that I didn’t even know about, remove the blocks that prevented me from walking through life with confidence and calm, being truly alive, being myself. I could not achieve such a result by working with a psychologist (I am not at all belittling their work now); in a retreat, the work occurs with great intensity and efficiency.
